What is the difference between SMD and COB LEDs?

SMD (Surface Mount Device) LEDs are individual LED chips mounted on a circuit board — they produce distinct points of light and are ideal for channel letter modules and strip lighting. COB (Chip on Board) LEDs have multiple LED chips bonded directly to a substrate, producing a continuous line of light with no visible hot-spots, making them ideal for architectural and display lighting where uniformity is critical.

What do IP ratings mean for LED products?

IP (Ingress Protection) ratings indicate resistance to dust and water. The first digit (0–6) rates dust protection; the second (0–9) rates water protection. IP65 = dust-tight, water-jet resistant. IP67 = dust-tight, submersion to 1m for 30 minutes. IP68 = dust-tight, continuous submersion beyond 1m (depth specified by manufacturer). For outdoor signage, IP65 is usually sufficient; for buried or poolside applications, use IP67 or IP68.

Are all your products CE and RoHS certified?

What colour temperatures do you stock?

We stock warm white (2700K–3000K), neutral white (4000K–4500K) and cool white (6000K–6500K) across our LED module and strip ranges. Some COB strips are also available in extra warm white (2200K) and tunable white variants. Colour temperature is noted in each product's specifications and variant selector.

For larger orders (typically 5,000+ units), we can discuss custom specifications including non-standard colour temperatures, wattages and CRI values. Contact our technical team with your requirements and expected volumes.

What CRI (Colour Rendering Index) do your products achieve?

Our standard range achieves CRI 80+. High-CRI products (CRI 90+ and CRI 95+) are available in selected strips and modules — these are clearly marked in product specifications. High-CRI LEDs are recommended for retail display, hospitality and anywhere accurate colour representation is important.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

There is no minimum order quantity for standard products. However, our LED modules are sold in packs (typically 100 or 500 units), which is noted on each product listing. LED strips and power supplies are sold as individual units or per-metre rolls.

Do prices include VAT?

You can toggle prices between inc. VAT and ex. VAT on product pages and in the cart using the VAT toggle. All our prices are displayed in GBP. Trade customers typically prefer to see ex. VAT pricing. VAT is charged at the standard UK rate of 20%.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Yes. Volume pricing tiers are displayed on all product pages — the price per unit automatically decreases as you increase quantity. Trade account holders may also receive additional negotiated pricing for large recurring orders. Contact your account manager for project-specific quotes.

Do you offer free delivery?

Do you dispatch same-day?

Orders placed before 2:00pm Monday–Friday are dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 2:00pm or at weekends are dispatched the next business day. You'll receive a dispatch confirmation email with tracking details.

We use DPD and Royal Mail for UK deliveries. You will receive a tracking link by email once your order is dispatched. DPD deliveries include a 1-hour delivery window notification on the morning of delivery.

What warranty do your products carry?

Warranty length varies by product. The GL K2 PRO, GL K8 PRO, GL Full Colour RGB, and GL4612 carry a 5-year warranty. The GL 4030, GL 4035, GL 8018, GL 7419, GL 6018, and all LED strips carry a 3-year warranty. Power supplies carry the manufacturer's own warranty. What do I do if a product arrives damaged?

Please photograph the damaged item and packaging within 24 hours of receipt and contact us immediately. We will arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible. Damage reported after 48 hours may be treated as a warranty claim rather than a transit damage claim.

Yes — provided they are unused and in original packaging, we can accept returns within 30 days. We recommend ordering samples before committing to large quantities. Our technical team is also available to advise on the right products before you buy.
